Account & Subscriptions
From securing your account and updating subscriptions to moving to a new device, make sure you’re using the right account and configuration.
Do I need an email address to create an account? What if I forget my login details?
You can create an account with a username and password—no email address required. Save your login details in a trusted password manager and make sure you can sign in to the user dashboard again. Since your account isn't tied to an email address, don't rely on email recovery as the default way to regain access. If you can't log in, check your keyboard layout, capitalization and autofill entries, and make sure you haven't entered credentials from another site. If you're still signed in on another device, use it to submit a support ticket. If you've been logged out everywhere, follow the assistance options currently shown on the login page. Never share your full password with anyone.
Where can I find my subscription link, and how do I refresh the server list?
Sign in to the user dashboard and open Account Overview to find your subscription link. Import it using a method supported by your client. The subscription link and download link serve different purposes: the former loads server configurations; the latter downloads the client. If the server list changes or an entry stops working, open subscription management in your client, select the VPNUY profile and refresh it. Then check that the server list has reloaded. If the update fails, return to the dashboard to check your subscription status and link. Make sure you haven't copied any extra spaces or left out characters. Your subscription link contains account access credentials, so protect it like a password. Don't share it in public screenshots, group chats or code repositories.
Do I need a different plan when I switch devices? Which platforms are supported?
There’s no device limit, so switching devices alone doesn’t mean you need a different plan. VPNUY supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Sign in to your existing account on the new device, then use the user dashboard to get the appropriate client and subscription. Import the subscription, choose a server and check that your apps can connect. On other platforms, sign in to download the client; downloading on iOS also requires an active plan. When using the same account on multiple devices, keep an eye on your plan’s remaining data. Unlimited devices doesn’t mean unlimited data. When you stop using an old device, remove any saved subscription configurations so they don’t remain on a device you pass on to someone else.
Will my selected servers and rules stay after I update my subscription?
Whether your settings are kept depends on how your client handles subscription updates. Don’t assume that manually edited settings will be saved permanently. Before updating, note your current region, server name, proxy mode and app rules. If your client supports local rules or configuration backups, use those features to save any settings you need. After the update, check that the selected profile is still VPNUY, review the server and routing rules, then test the app again. If a server name has changed, select it again from the updated list. When submitting a support ticket, describe what changed before and after the update, but don’t include your full subscription link or configuration files containing credentials.
CONNECTION / DIAGNOSIS
Connections & Troubleshooting
Check your local connection, client routing and access to the target app separately. Don’t rely on the connection icon alone.
My client says it’s connected, but why won’t webpages load?
A connected status usually means the client has established a connection; it doesn’t guarantee that your browser’s requests are using the selected server. First, make sure your device can access the internet. Then check whether the client’s system proxy or traffic-routing mode is enabled. Review the active profile, server and routing rules, close any other proxy tools that might also be handling traffic, and reopen your browser to test again. If regular webpages load but a particular site doesn’t, check that service’s regional requirements, your sign-in status and any error message. Change one setting at a time and note the result so you can identify what made a difference.
My browser works, but why won’t a particular app use the proxy?
Apps may use different network interfaces. Some follow the system proxy; others need a traffic-routing mode supported by the client, or may be set to connect directly by an app-routing rule. Check the client’s connection log to see whether a connection appears when the app makes a request. Then review the rules for direct-connection entries covering that app or its domains. After changing a rule, fully quit and reopen the app so it doesn’t keep using an old connection. If you need a virtual network interface, read the client’s documentation and check the required system permissions first. Don’t copy rule files from unknown sources. If the issue persists, submit a ticket with the app name, operating system and error details.
Subscription import failed. What should I check first?
First, determine whether you can’t retrieve the link or the client can’t parse the configuration. Check your account and plan status in the user dashboard, then copy the full link from the subscription page again. Make sure it doesn’t include line breaks, explanatory text or leading or trailing spaces. If the client says the format isn’t supported, use an import method compatible with that client instead of repeatedly pasting the same content. If you see a network error, check that your device is online, then try updating the subscription. If it still fails, submit a ticket with the client name, operating system, error message and steps you took. Before sharing a screenshot, hide your subscription link, account credentials and any unrelated personal information.
What information should I include in a support ticket about connection problems?
Sign in to the user dashboard and submit a support ticket. Include your platform, client, local network setup, selected region and server type, and describe the step where the problem occurs. For example, distinguish between an update that fails and an app that reports an error despite a successful connection. Include the settings you’ve tried and the results. Quote the error message where possible, and limit screenshots to the relevant area. If the issue affects only one app, include its name and say whether its website works in a browser. Before submitting, hide your full subscription link, password and sensitive payment details. Add any follow-up details to the same ticket so the issue can be reviewed in context.
SPEED / ROUTE CHOICE
Speed & Routes
Check which region the service requires, then compare performance over time. Route type and latency are only part of the picture.
How can I tell whether peak-time slowdowns are caused by my network or the server?
Pause downloads, cloud sync and other tasks that use a lot of bandwidth. Check whether webpages also load slowly on your local network. If possible, compare a wired and wireless connection, or test on another local network. Once your local connection seems stable, compare servers in the same region, then try other regions suitable for the service you’re using. After each switch, reconnect the app and repeat the same action to see whether it improves. Don’t judge the overall experience by the latency shown in the client alone: sustained downloads, video buffering and streaming responses reflect different parts of the connection. Note when the slowdown occurs, which server you’re using and the results of each test to make troubleshooting easier.
How should I choose between IEPL, relay and direct connections?
Server types describe connection paths; they aren’t a universal ranking for every region and local network. IEPL, relay and direct connections use different routes, while actual performance also depends on your local connection, the service’s location and current network conditions. First check which regions the service supports, then compare actual performance among suitable options. For apps that need a persistent session, watch for disconnections. For video, focus on buffering and playback continuity. Once you find a server that works, stick with it where possible and switch only when there’s a specific issue. The server page explains the available routes, but you’ll need to test access on your current device and network.
Does broad regional coverage mean every AI tool and streaming service will work?
VPNUY covers 120+ countries and 230+ routes, but that doesn’t guarantee every route will work with every platform. AI tools and streaming services may determine access based on your account region, service availability, exit IP and their own policies. Check the service’s regional requirements, choose a suitable route and verify access by signing in or playing content. If you see a region-related message, save the exact error and avoid rapidly switching between multiple regions. A network service can’t replace platform account eligibility or content rights. Review and follow the platform’s rules before use.
Why do video or AI responses keep stopping when server latency looks normal?
Latency measures the response time of a particular probe; on its own, it doesn’t show whether a connection can sustain data transfer, keep an app session open or reach a healthy destination server. Video performance also depends on the content source and buffering strategy, while AI streaming responses need a connection that stays open over time. Check whether other tasks are using your local network, then see whether other sites work over the same server. If only the target app is affected, check its service notices and your account status too. After switching servers, start a new session so an interruption on the old connection isn’t mistaken for a problem with the new one. When asking for help, say whether the interruption happens during sign-in, when sending a request or while content is being delivered—not just share a latency screenshot.
BILLING / REFUND
Billing & Refunds
Check plan details on the pricing page and in the user dashboard. Submit refund requests by support ticket; see the Terms of Service for details.
How much do monthly plans and data packages cost, and which should I choose?
Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. Monthly plan data resets each month on your activation date. Data packages never expire and remain available until used up. If you use the service regularly, compare monthly plans against your actual data usage. If your usage is occasional, consider a data package. Device count alone doesn’t determine how much data you need; video, file transfers and everyday browsing use data differently. Check the pricing page for billing and data rules, then review the order details in the user dashboard before proceeding.
When does monthly data reset, and what happens if I upgrade mid-cycle?
Monthly plan data resets each month on your activation date, not necessarily at the start of a calendar month. Check the current plan details in the user dashboard for your remaining data and reset date. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated against the remaining days. Review the change shown in the dashboard and confirm your new plan before proceeding. Data packages work differently: they never expire and remain available until used up. If the dashboard doesn’t show what you expect, check the selected plan and order status, then contact support through a ticket. Don’t use your client’s local data counter alone to infer whether data has been deducted from or restored to your account.
Which payment methods are supported? What if my plan doesn’t update after payment?
We support Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Create an order in the user dashboard and pay using the payment details and instructions shown for that order. Don’t use a payment page forwarded by someone else. After paying, return to the dashboard to check the order status, then review your plan in Account Overview. If the payment result doesn’t match what the dashboard shows, first check that the account, order and payment record correspond. Don’t create multiple orders or pay again for the same issue. If you still need help, submit a ticket with the relevant order ID, payment method and current status. Include only the payment record details needed to investigate. Don’t share full payment screenshots publicly or give anyone your account password.
How do I request a refund, and what should I prepare?
VPNUY offers a 30-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user dashboard, open a support ticket and clearly state that you’re requesting a refund. Include the relevant order ID and payment method. For eligibility and terms, see the Terms of Service. You don’t need to complete extensive network troubleshooting before making a request. If you’d also like help with connection problems, describe those separately. Before submitting, check that you’ve identified the right account and order, and keep the original ticket for follow-up. Never share full payment credentials or your account password publicly. The ticket reply will confirm the status and any information needed; don’t treat an unconfirmed payment arrival time as a service commitment.
